Here we will tell the story of the beginnings of our ashram and how we became what we are today.
"The chief symptom of a dead person is the termination
of breathing. The chief indicator of our state of being is our breathing...compare an angry person with a sad person
with a happy person. Thus, our key to life/thought/emotion control is breathing.
It turns out when one breathes through the
nose your energy is going in and out. Via internal, up-and-down breathing you become alert.
Via inside breathing you travel in the spiritual
world.
If you notice, babies do this breathing. This breathing is known as Maha Siddha Yoga".
GENERAL INTRODUCTION
The
very idea of Siddha Samajam is worth mention in this turmoil of the world. The founder of Siddha Samajam His Holiness Swami
Sivananda Paramahamsa in his enlightened vision set up an idea of this establishment of universal brotherhood. All institutions
on philosophies are meant for the worship of God. The very idea and aim of Siddha Samajam is also the worship of God.
There
are no evil practices and religious inequalities. No superstitutions and political intrusions. Equality and fraternity are
the two fundamental principles of Siddha Samajam. His Holiness Himself has laid certain rules and regulations for Siddha Samajam.
The following explanation may give the reader a crystal idea on caste, religion, truth, etc and a short outline of Siddha
Samajam in a nut-shell. Siddha Samajists and Siddha Vidyarthies are all one Caste and one Religion i.e., Eswara matham.
SIDDHA SAMAJAM-DEFINED
Had
all minds (souls) attained peace there would be no need of Siddha Samajam. As it were seen not so, we have founded Siddha
Samajam.
It has seemed that various troubles and quarrels have occurred in the world due to and hatred and thereby
people have degenerated and died. To find a solution to this, to achieve world welfare, we took Bhagiratha Prayathna (Herculean
effort), suffered a lot, found out by our own exertion the upward course of Jeeva (life), realized the very path to get free
from death and attain salvation, for the sake of world welfare informed that path to the people and made them to realize it
and the one foundation build to strive to get attained salvation in this way is Siddha Samajam.

THE IDEAL OF SIDDHA SAMAJAM
As
to the life of Siddha Samajist His Holiness has explicated it through a simple example. The entire life-environmental and
social-is being set up in this principle. That is, world should become on par with that of bird’s life. According to
their will and pleasure birds can move about anywhere, devoid of any obstacle or bondage. They are endangered only when they
come down. Similarly we too should move about freely, unboundly, at our own will peacefully, happily and a Sarvajanapritha
(all-beloved). This can be possible only if we keep up above all our own mental faculties and just as the said birds move
about according to our own will and pleasure. Unlike this by bringing them downwards and getting endangered we will die. In
order to be undying, we should be always with attention and ascension (Urdhwagathi)
THE
WORSHIP OF GOD
It is a general concept that the worship of God is for attaining salvation.
This is not true. Worship of God is possible only when we give up or discard all ties-the ego of the self. No body can serve
God and enjoy worldly pleasure together. One cannot serve two masters at time (Holy Bible). We cannot serve God and riches
at a time.
It is said that Saraswathi and Lakshmi would never live together. This statement denoted the same principle
too. Saraswathi is the symbolic expression of Vidya or Jnana (wisdom) and lakshmi represents wealth and material pleasure.
To make worship of God a possibility, we must give u our egoistic selfish awareness. We must lead a life sacrifice. Then only
mind would be freed from bondage and it would be possible to realize God-the real Father and Mother inside us.
God
is the Omni-indwelling (Sarvantharyami). That is why God is called Kutastha and Gudasthan. God, the entity within, if searched
without instead of searching within, would never be realized at all. It must be searched within alone. It is the true worship
of God. The very means for that is Siddha Vidya.
It is noted above that Swamiji himself, after tedious and strenuous
efforts, has found out the upward course of Jeeva (Urthva Gathi). It is nothing but Siddha Vidya, that in the words of Swamiji
is life (Jeeva)-which is present in oneself, gets downward, spreads out and destroys-being not allowed so to spread out, should
be ever conducted up and down inwardly, there by knock open the Brahmarandhra, and learn to unite the life there with Eswara
(at Brahmarandhra).It is Siddha Vidya.
About Siddha Veda many a life histories are there, but Siddha Vedam is the unique-the
true one. It is the true life history of Jeeva. Jeeva is unique. Siddha Vedam is the History of that Jeeva. It is the very
exposition of self experience realized by the founder of Siddha Samajam Jagat Jyothy Swami Sivananda Parama Hamsa.(Read Siddha
Vedam all in all. The path-The Truth-The Life. The value of Siddha Vedam is beyond words, to understand its value one must
read and meditate the book again and again).
The Siddha Samaj is the parentage of Siddha Vidyarthies. There are crores
of people who have got initiated in Siddha Vidya and living peacefully, enjoying the supreme bliss are living in this world.
The Siddha Samaj, Siddha Vidya Yoga Kendras and Siddha Vidya Abhyasa Alayams, expect every citizen to become Siddha Samajists
or Siddha vidyarthies.
All learnings whatever it may be are meaningless if one does not realize himself. To realize
one self one must learn himself Siddha Vidya is the art of learning oneself and knowing oneself is self enlightment Kaivalyam.
Protection
of life, deliverance of Jeeva is truly the protection of the humanity in other words protection of the universe and it is
the supreme kind of charity that the Samaj performs practically whatever the Samaj does it is all to save the life in this
universe and there by keep the universe in existence.
At present due to the inhuman activities the world is full of
problems and there is no safely to life. Siddha Samaj stands as the only practical solution to do away the inhuman activities
and save the mankind from utter destruction.
It practically shows the world the right path to become Human by constant
practice of Siddha Vidya. (The Siddha Samajists perform Siddha Vidya meditation, 8 hours in a day that is 3AM to 5.20AM in
the early morning and 12 Noon to 2.20PM and in the evening 6pM to 7PM and in the night 8pm to 10.20PM). Then the world will
be taken to natural way of life and got rescued.
On this age of turmoil the Siddha Samaj entreats ever citizen of the
world to accept the Samaj way of life, foster universal brotherhood save life in this world. Once this vedantic socialistic
life is appreciated and realized. “Thy Kingdom “is achieved and also secured world welfare and world peace.
To
spread his message and propagate SiddhaVidya, Swami Sivananda Parama Hamsa Siddha Vidya Yoga Kendra is established in Bangalore.(Siddha
Vidyarthies of this Yoga Kendra perform Siddha Vidya meditation, 4 1/2 hours in a day ie., 4AM to 5.30AM in the early morning
and in the noon 12 to 1.30pM and in the evening 7PM to 8.30PM for the world welfare and world Peace).
GREATNESS OF
BHRAHMAVIDYA WHICH IS KNOWN AS SIDDHA VIDYA.
Whoever medidates this ajapa gayathri ie., siddha vidya which is a great
manthra will not have births and deaths which is also called brahma vidya. The yogis who utters ajapa gayathri ie., siddha
vidya will attain moksha. The persons who just thinks of this great maha manthra itself will exile from sins.
THERE
IS NO GREAT VIDYA OTHER THAN THIS. THERE IS NO GREAT JAPA OTHER THAN THIS. THERE IS NO GREAT VIDYA WAS EXISTED EARLIER
THAN THIS. THERE IS NO GREAT VIDYA WILL EXIST IN FUTURE ALSO THAN THIS. THERE IS NO PUNYA GREATER THAN THIS WILL EXIST. THIS
IS WHAT VEDA AND UPANISHITHS SAY.
